For me, the best way to see images from Instagram in full quality is the following:
- install IMAGUS Chrome extension (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... mlhakdmaab)
- go to instagram.com in web browser
- hover over a image you like
- the image is shown in a popup window
- press O
- now the image is save in a new browser tab and you can right click and save.

In fact, this is the same as "carbonblue" described. But if someone is not so used to the code this is a gread and easy extension. Works on almost every website.

Wasn't able to get it, but thankfully someone found an easy way in the following post. Thanks for the info though!

You can...and here is one way to do so. Right click the image and click Inspect. Click the arrow next to the line above the highlighted one when the window opens. Then right click the image url and open it in a new tab. From there you can right click the image and save it. Do not click on the pictures - it takes you to a virus that you have to kill by hitting the Alt-Ctl-Del and going into the system to manually shut down. I am doing a virus scan to make sure it didn't deposit anything more.
